A friend and I have stopped playing GW for one reason: It seems like a total grind without any roleplay. So, after seeing the other topic on this forum, I thought "Hey, why not try and find a small group of people to RP though the story."

We decided that it would be great to do, and this is how it would work, though it's not set in stone, really.

We make new characters, and start in pre. We play only in international dists, because they normally have a lot less people, and ignore those not in our little RP session, as to not break roleplay.

So, yeah. We just go through the game together, but all in-character. We'd decide what classes we'd be before hand, so we don't have eight of one class.

The only problem is this: We wouldn't all be able to play together until the desert. I'm not sure how this will work, but I'm sure we can make it work.

Oh, also. Both my friend and I don’t have Factions. Unless this works out, I doubt we will. The grind is just to strong, but if this works out, I’m sure we’ll both get factions, but until then..

well if you are all in a single guild then you could rp in the guild channel as well (some kind of magical communing - take something from another rpg) and do different tasks in pre as small groups (we're heading to fort ranik, you all go into the mountains for so-and-so).. many novels have had groups split up (tolkien's are good examples), though they usually don't commune like that. I'm sure you can figure something out there..

Yeah, that's a good idea. I mean, we're in a fantasy world, so who knows. But, the big thing is when we have 6 people in a group. If we have a total of 8 people in out little group, it's going to be hard to even it out, but I guess we could take henches.

Another thing is if we should wait till everyone's online or such, but that'll be decided I'm sure.

Interesting... the rp account I will be using is guildless so that'd be fine with me.

We should take this all the way up to the end missions=) that'd be quite fun.

I am bored with my warrior, so I think I can delete him and join you as either a Ranger or Elementalist. Also, I don't want to leave my guild to join a new one for this, but other than that I'll play.

I would like to be Mesmer or Monk.
My friend would like to be Ranger or Necro.
Penguo would like to be Monk or Ele.
Canadian Bacon would liek to be Ranger or Ele.
Network would like to be[What?]
And Xao(From gamefaqs) would like to be ranger or necro.

Hmm.. I think we all need to get in a group convo or something :P Any idea on a place to do so?

If you can throw up a TS/Vent server or sumthing, that would be ideal. I take it that since I'm on that lsit it doesn't matter that I don't want to leave my current guild?

Yeah, I could do that. Not sure if my mic is working, though.

Well, it would be nice if you did but I'm not sure yet. I think it would be a lot easier to set up, because of guild announcements and all that. Plus when not everyone's one and you still want to Rp, there will be people on.

Start an RP guild, anyone? :P

But, I won't make you at all, we'll just have to see.

Well, I won't make you. But, if you want to roleplay, then I'll happily add you to the guild(Which I'm about to set up :P).

Any ideas for a name, people?
